Chris Skaggs / CCO & CTOChris Skaggs is the Founder, CCO/CTO of Soma Games and Code-Monkeys. Based in Newberg, OR. Skaggs is a 12-year veteran in the creation of B2B and B2C technology solutions including five years in the mobile technology space. Chris has had a long career building a variety of custom apps for iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Kindle Fire and Intel AppUp, as well as the web-based backend software for a wide range of web and mobile apps. Chris has been an active participant in the Intel AppUp developer program and inspirational thought leader at industry events and online blogs. He has appeared as a technology consultant with Intel, Mobile Portland, The Software Association of Oregon plus several universities and business organizations. On the side Chris is a Speaker with Boot Camp Northwest, and enjoys martial arts.
Rande Bruhn is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (Oregon) and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (with academic honors, from an affiliate of Notre Dame University), in addition to a Bachelors degree in Finance and Economics. Rande has spent the last 25 years of his career primarily focused on business management in the technology arena with diverse companies in both commercial and military venues, in Aerospace, Software, Integrated Circuit design and manufacturing fields. In 2009, he joined Code-Monkeys as President and CEO.
Rev. John Carabin / Director of Business DevelopmentJohn Carabin overseas all aspects of the company’s strategic partnerships, sales and vendor affairs. He works closely with Code-monkeys’ senior executive team to create and maintain long-term business to business relationships.Carabin has Two Master’s and Three Bachelor’s degrees which back up his fifteen years of executive experience. He has worked in both the hardware and software sectors of the tech industry giving him a unique perspective from which he manages jobs and oversees production. He is IBM trained and certified in project management and supply chain management. Carabin is also certified in project management, by the Mechanical Contractors Association of America via the University of Texas.
Nat Iwata / Art DirectorNat first started working with Code-Monkeys in 2009 as a contract artist, later coming onboard as the Art Director in 2011. With a background in mobile app development starting in 2006, he has taken on the role of seeing that our products are not only functionally sound, but aesthetically top notch as well. The perception of quality begins at first impression, and Nat is out to make sure that our software always reflects the high standard we've come to be known for keeping. In addition to creating and managing art and artists for Code-Monkeys, Nat also adjunct teaches animation courses at George Fox University.
Erin E.P. Morris / Director of Education InitiativesErin likes to refer to herself as a passionate nerd. An Oregon native she pursued her education and traveled extensively before returning to Oregon in 2008. Since then she has applied her knowledge and understanding of technology to education. The announcement of the iPad ushered her into a new era and she has been working in mobile learning ever since. She is adamantly passionate about the merging of technology with solid pedagogy. At the beginning of 2012 she joined the Code-Monkeys team as Director of Education Initiatives. In her spare time she enjoys torturing undergrads in her Russian history course at the local college.
John L. Bergquist / Director of CommunicationsJohn joined Code-Monkeys as a communications consultant in 2008 and helped build the company into the mobile industry leader it is today. He joined the company as the Communications Director full time in early 2011. While John mainly handles the companies communications and company culture he also is part of the creative team in many aspects of both app and game development. John also is considered a mobile consumer technology evangelist speaking at events and writing on consumer mobile technology as a Huffington Tech Blogger and a technology expert advisor for the the George Fox University Evangelical Seminary. John also writes about technology and how it enhances human communication and connectedness on his personal blog.
