IDAK Group
The IDAK Group has built its business for twenty years around its unique Talent Discovery Guide - a detailed test and analysis of a person's life experience used to give critical insight into job transition decisions. The test has done exceptionally well for decades as a multi-step process completed entirely on paper in a classroom setting, but in 2005 The IDAK Group decided it was time to put the venerable tool on-line.
When Code-Monkeys first viewed the paper-based test, we were impressed by the complexity of the process, but even more so with the detailed analysis it provided to the people who invested the time needed to complete it. The structured process leant itself well to a web application and we started on a project to develop a system using ColdFusion, Fusebox and SQLServer.
Now available to the general public, the system relies on an elegant administration tool and database structure to track testers across multiple sessions and series of questions. The tool allows IDAK Group to customize the test verbiage for particular age groups as well as offering multi-language translation now that it's available to users throughout the world where it was previously only available to those who were close enough to sit down for several hours at IDAK's Portland office.
With their core product now on-line, IDAK Group is looking forward to a far wider audience for their valuable service and expanding operations to accommodate the new traffic.
